About us
The initiators of the festival are us; Tina Berthelsen and Jennica Ericson. Our paths crossed through Scanian food just over 8 years ago when Jennica was involved in Food Evolution. Since then, we have met in various food and drink contexts over the years until Jennica took a deeper step into the wine world as a vineyard hostess at Lottenlund. After Tina and Jennica exhibited together at several different beverage fairs in Sweden, from the Gin & Tonic Festival in Örebro to the Swedish Wine Festival in Österlen, we realised that the perfect place to gather the best of Skåne is Sofiero Slott in Helsingborg. From idea to action in a few months, we have now laid the foundation for an annual event: Skåne food fest, as a tribute to all food and drink producers in Skåne!
Lottenlund Estate
Lottenlund Estate is one of Sweden’s largest vineyards with 10.5 hectares of vineyards spread over 2 unique locations, partly in the village of Allerum outside Helsingborg where the proximity to the Öresund tempers in the spring and next to Segelstorp’s beach overlooking Skälderviken. Lottenlund grows 7 varieties of grapes with the vision of offering unique beverage experiences with the best, most innovative beverage portfolio and with the smallest possible environmental footprint. The farm also has a distillery that utilises the farm’s resources, in the form of press residues that are distilled into a soft marc, an interpretation of the Italian grappa, as well as other spirits such as apple brandy, gin and aquavit.

Sustainability
Sustainability is about meeting the needs of people and society today without jeopardising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. Using existing resources in a wise and long-term manner. Therefore, we work actively with sustainability in several areas such as:
- The festival’s exhibitors are all local businesses, where we want to emphasise economic and environmental sustainability. By allowing the exhibitors to come to one location to showcase their products/services, we save both time and the environment for our visitors.
- By offering local businesses a place to showcase, promote and offer tastings, this generates more sales and hopefully, eventually, more jobs.
- By offering visitors an opportunity to see, feel and taste the rich variety of local food and drink in Skåne, we increase the level of self-sufficiency in our region.
- The location is chosen based on its geographical position that is accessible to many and we hope that most visitors get here by public transport or bicycle.
- The restaurants in the festival area are recommended to work with the local ingredients offered at the festival. All food trucks have been recommended to offer a local meal.
- We cooperate with local organisations that help during the festival in several areas. Through this cooperation, we strengthen the associations that can develop together with children, young people and adults.
- Our social sustainability results in that the food left over from the festival will be donated to the House of the Homeless (??).
- By pre-booking tickets, masterclasses and food, we reduce food waste.
These are just a few examples of our sustainability policy. Sustainability is part of all decisions made to develop and realise the festival.
